Thanks to the people behind the calendar [NSFW-ish] providing for international shipping, I managed to get my hands on a copy.
Having pre-ordered the initial release, the 2007 calendar has been gracing one of the walls of our apartment for some time now - with Kati’s blessing, which is not to say that we did not have our share of accompanying discussions :)
Thanks to the artsy style of the calendar and even more so thanks to all the depicted geek gear, my better half let me have my way :)
Due to the success of the 2007 edition, it was only a matter of time for a 2008 edition to be announced [SFW] and a launch party to be organized.
Now how was I supposed not to go - especially with being in Santa Monica and given my history with the calendar :)
The launch party was on November 16th, 2007 at Meltdown Comics on Sunset Boulevard in LA, with four of the models, a number of gaming site reporters and some fifty or so visitors enjoying themselves over free booze in the gallery to nerdcore tunes.
The picture above is me hanging out with Karlie Montana, the cover girl of both calendar editions.
